Make a paper boat


You have until 10th August to contribute a paper boat to Joanne Kaar's exhibition and fund raising project relating to Mary Ann's cottage museum in Caithness and William Young, Mary Ann's father who sailed on the Westland from Glasgow to New Zealand in 1879. The forthcoming exhibition in Thurso is going to be superb - full of her quirky links from the story to paper, baking and methods of waterproofing cloth. Her site contains all the details including photos of boats that have already sailed in, and basic steps for making one by origami, so there's no excuse, even for me...
